Updated: Dec 31, 2021

Fasting and hangry? Try this recipe to satisfy hunger without breaking your fast, avoid an insulin spike and a full electrolyte fluid balance.

Yassss!!! Prolonged and intermediate fasting can take a toll on the body, but this recipe can help with cravings and provide a full electrolyte fluid balance so you can make it longer and get some extra benefits along the way.

This recipe helps you mask the taste of Apple Cider Vinegar in a way that is easy to drink if you like citrus, salty flavors. I drink this in the morning on days of fasting right when I wake up instead of breakfast and then hold off eating until I get back from the gym around 1:30 PM. It gives me energy, so I don't rely on caffeine. I enjoy drinking it so much is quite a delight for my taste buds. I realize this is not for everybody, but if you are not a fan of sour, tart, and salty flavors, you can add some monk fruit or stevia sweetener, but the sweet might entice your brain to crave sweets shortly.

Servings: 1 Ingredients

One can of AHA Citrus and Green Tea Sparkling Water

2Tblsp Apple Cider Vinegar

1/4 - 1/2tsp Cream of Tartar

1/2tsp Celtic Salt

Lime Juice from 1 lime

Mix all ingredients together and enjoy.

Benefits:

The main benefit is satisfied hunger without breaking your fast.

Apple Cider Vinegar:

High in Acetic Acid is a Carboxylic Acid with antibacterial and anti-fungal properties. Increase your body's absorption of minerals, help maintain sugar levels, diminishes cravings, and helps insulin sensitivity, generating a better effect from your food.

Cream of Tartar:

Hight in potassium - 1/2tsp has about 248g of potassium

Potassium is a mineral your body burns fast while fasting, and the cream of tartar helps keep those levels balanced.

Salt:

Sodium is another mineral that gets depleted while fasting, and salt helps balance those while helping with bloating when fasting.

Limes:

Contain high count of Limonoids

Limonin Methoxylation influences the induction of Glutathione-S transferase and Quinone Reductase. Limonoids help increases the level of Glutathione that helps the body detox, neutralize free radicals in our body's cellular metabolism.

Cautions:

Undiluted vinegar may harm mouth and digestive-system tissues. A tablespoon or two is enough for salad dressing or to flavor a quart of drinking water. Consider using a reusable straw to prevent the vinegar from touching your teeth to damage tooth enamel.
